Structure Fire - 1600 Block of 10th Street, Delano

Around 5PM fire crews responded to a reported structure fire in the 1600 block of 10th Street in Delano. Upon arrival crews encountered a single-family residence approximately 1100 sq. ft. in size. Smoke and flames were coming from three sides of the structure and there were downed power lines on two sides. There were three other structures threatened by the growing fire. However, quick actions by fire crews prevented the fire from spreading to the other structures and the high-tension power lines near the house. One resident was home at the time of the fire, but was safely outside when fire crews arrived. The cause of the fire is under investigation and there were no injuries reported.
