Last Night’s fire activity: Last evening work continued on reinforcement of containment lines where access and topography allowed. Minimal activity was observed over the fire area.

Today’s fire efforts:  Containment lines will be tested today as a dry, cold weather front will bring strong northwesterly winds with gusts up to 35 miles per hour. Suppression repair work will continue on fire impacted areas. Reinforcement of containment lines continues as air operations support these efforts.

Weather:  Today’s weather will be sunny and hot with highs near 90 degrees. As stated earlier a weather front will move into the area this afternoon bringing with it gusty winds up to 35 miles per hour.
