Cummings Valley, CA

At 12:00 p.m. Kern County Fire crews responded to the report of a grass fire in the 24000 block of Banducci Road.  First arriving firefighters found a fire, approximately 1 acre in size, in light flashy fuels. Quick actions by ground resources and Helicopter 408 were able to contain the fire to approximately 5.5 acres in 2.5 hours. The cause of this fire is under investigation. There were no injuries reported by civilians or firefighters.
