Incident Narrative

Monday, the Kern County Emergency Communication Center received multiple reports of a large commercial building on fire, near the intersection of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd and Potomac Ave. Units responding arrived to find a building, approximately 2,000 square feet in size, fully involved with fire. Defensive operations were established to protect an occupied apartment complex threatened by the blaze. As firefighters gained an upper-hand on the fire search operations were conducted and confirmed no persons were inside.
