Incident Narrative

Last night, at approximately 8:15 pm, fire crews responded to reports of pallets on fire near a building. Crews immediately saw flames visible when leaving the fire station and more resources were requested. Upon arrival, crews were faced with a large fire in packaging materials in an outside storage area. The fire spread rapidly through the storage area. A second alarm was requested. Crews conducted a search for people inside a nearby building as the fire extended into the building. No people were found inside. Due to the building rapidly deteriorating, crews had to rush out for their safety. A third alarm was requested. Crews worked feverishly to keep the fire from spreading to other buildings and properties. The intense fire and heat made the firefight extremely difficult. Crews remained on scene throughout the night and the next day to keep the fire from spreading. No one was hurt in this incident.
