RIDGECREST, Calif., On the morning of February 17, 2024, Engine 84, Engine 81 and Engine 83 received a call for a reported single passenger vehicle into a structure with the driver pinned in the vehicle. Engine companies arrived on scene and found a single passenger vehicle through the front wall of a structure with the driver still in the vehicle unable to get out. Crews simultaneously performed treatment of the patient, while securing the utilities to the structure, and extricating the patient. The patient was extricated in approximately 5 minutes and transferred to Liberty Ambulance for follow up care. Scene was left in care of Ridgecrest Police Department.
