Incident Narrative

At approximately 5:55 A.M. in Oildale, California, The Kern County Fire Department and Bakersfield Fire Department were dispatched to a house on fire in the 2800 block of Olympic Dr. Upon arrival, a large amount of smoke and flames were seen coming from the front of the structure, so firefighters deployed hose off their engine to aggressively start attacking the fire. While deploying hose, fire crews were advised by neighbors that a resident was still potentially inside the structure. Firefighters quickly made entry into the structure and began searching for any occupants. An ambulance was requested for precaution, but no occupants were found.  The fire was brought under control at approximately 6:28 A.M.. There were no injuries to firefighters or civilians.
