Incident Narrative

Monday, Kern County firefighters were dispatched to an active structure fire based on multiple 911 calls. Upon arrival, firefighters found a double wide mobile home 75% involved with fire. The active fire also included multiple vehicles on the property.

Firefighters were notified that all persons had safely evacuated as they began extinguishing the fire and worked to protect other cars from igniting. Firefighters were on scene for several hours completing multiple searches to confirm no persons were inside and extensive mop up.

While no persons were injured, four adults, one minor, and two pets were displaced. Red Cross was notified to assist with lodging and KCFD firefighters provided a SAVE card to help them purchase essential items.
