Incident Narrative
Bakersfield, Calif., Early Wednesday morning, The Kern County Fire Department and Bakersfield Fire Department responded to the area of Alfred Harrell Hwy and Goodmanville Rd for a vehicle that rolled several hundred feet down a hill with multiple occupants that had been ejected. The vehicle was a two seater, ranch style Gator that had 4 occupants and an uninjured dog. Both agencies arrived on scene along with Hall Ambulance and started hiking up the hill. Contact was made with the vehicle occupants which included three moderately injured patients and one uninjured person. Due to the extent of the injuries of the three patients, crews utilized stokes baskets to carry the patients approximately 1/4 mile down the steep and sandy hill to Alfred Harrell Hwy. The three patients were then transported to the hospital via Hall Ambulance. There were no injuries to any Fire Service personnel.Â
