Incident Narrative

BAKERSFIELD, Calif., At approximately 7:45 P.M. on Monday evening, the Kern County Fire Department responded to a call for a dog with its paw stuck in a shower drain. Firefighters worked for about an hour, in very tight space, to free the stuck dog’s paw which had slipped down the drain and was caught in the drain guard. Firefighters from KCFD Engine 42 were able to successfully free the dog’s paw with no injuries to their new furry friend and were able to do so while causing zero damage to the bath tub. The Kern County Fire Department takes great pride in serving the residents and of course the furry friends of Kern County.
