OILDALE, CA-The Kern County Fire Department responded to multiple calls of a garage on fire in the 1700 block of Washington Ave in Oildale. Upon arrival, firefighters reported fire coming from the garage on the rear of the property, which had spread to the fence, palm tree, and the neighboring residence. Fire crews pulled a hose lilne to the front of the residence, and began attacking the flames, as well as knocking down the exterior fire. Approximately 50% of the building and contents were destroyed, and the fire took around 25 minutes to control.
