Delano, CA

At approximately 11:39 a.m. Kern County Fire Department emergency dispatchers received calls reporting a fire in a residence. Fire personnel were dispatched to the 1500 block of Belmont Street. The first fire crew to arrive found a home, approximately 1,000 square foot in size, with no visible signs of fire. Upon further investigation smoke was found issuing from the attic vents of the residence. Firefighters made a search for residents in the structure and began extinguishing the fire. The timely and precise actions taken by firefighters kept the fire from spreading to other parts of the home. 

Providing for the safety of the community is always the highest priority. While fire personnel were working to control this fire, other Kern County fire crews simultaneously responded to three medical aid calls in the area.
