Lamont,  CA

At approximately 06:35 the Kern County Fire Department received reports of smoke coming from a Residential structure on Kerrnita Rd off Weedpatch Hwy North of Lamont. A reinforced structure response was dispatched. First arriving crews reported smoke from the front of the structure. All occupants were confirmed to be out of the structure. Crews made an aggressive fire attack, while simultaneously conducting a very successful Salvage operation. The fire was knocked down and primary and secondary searches were completed. There were no injuries or fatalities. Crews remain on scene for mop-up.
