At approximately 12:10 p.m. the Kern County Fire Department received multiple calls for a structure with smoke and flames showing in the 500 block of Tyler Street. Based on the multiple reports, a reinforced structure response was started at the time of dispatch. Crews arrived on scene to a single story, single family home fully involved with fire. Fire crews deployed hose lines for a defensive fire attack and were able to get a knockdown on the fire in approximately 27 minutes. The fire damaged approximately $20,000 to the exposing home . There were no injuries as a result of this fire.
