Structure Fire - 400 Block of Lucard St., Taft

 

Fire crews received a report of flames coming from the roof of a residence. Upon leaving the station crews noticed smoke coming from the area of the structure and called for a reinforced fire alarm.

 

Fire crews made an aggressive attack on the fire which appeared to be located primarily in the attic of the home. Crews completed a search of the structure and found no one home except a pet lizard and the family cat. The pets were rescued and suffered no injuries. The fire was under control in about 15 minutes.

 

Current Situation: Cause of the fire is under investigation and residents of the homes are being assisted by the Red Cross.  There were no reported injuries.
