New KCFD Medical Unit Milestones

KERN COUNTY, Calif., The Kern County Fire Department is proud to announce significant achievements made possible by Measure K funding. These accomplishments mark a new era of enhanced emergency medical services for our community.

Graduation of the Second Medical Unit Academy

KCFD is pleased to celebrate the graduation of our second Medical Unit Academy. This milestone is a testament to our commitment to strengthening our emergency medical response capabilities. With the completion of this academy, we are bolstering our staffing with highly trained civilian EMTs and Paramedics. These dedicated professionals are now ready to serve the residents of Kern County, ensuring timely and effective medical assistance in emergencies.

Deployment of New Medical Unit SUVs

In addition to the academy graduation, we are excited to announce that many of our new Medical Unit SUVs are now being placed into service. Our Fleet Services Department has done an outstanding job customizing these vehicles to meet the specific needs of our medical teams. These SUVs are equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment and technology, ensuring our EMTs and Paramedics can provide the highest level of care.

Collaboration with Motor City GMC

We extend our sincere gratitude to Motor City GMC for their collaboration in acquiring these vital vehicles. Their support and partnership has been instrumental in ensuring we have the right tools for the job. By purchasing locally, we not only enhanced our fleet but also supported our local economy, reflecting our commitment to the community we serve.
