ARVIN, Calif., Thursday, Kern County firefighters at station 48 received their new Pierce Enforcer Fire Engine. This engine, which was built in Wisconsin, took nearly three years to complete. Upon arrival at the fire station, it sparkled in the sunlight as excited members of the Arvin community, Chairman David Couch, Arvin Police Officers, and Kern County firefighters excitedly explored its new features.
Since 1938 the Kern County Fire Department has provided life and fire safety services for the city of Arvin. This new Fire Engine is a welcome replacement and will allow Kern County firefighters to continue the tradition of providing outstanding service to the citizens of Arvin for many years to come.
