Church Without Walls March for the Fight Against Fentanyl

On Thursday, October 26, 2023, Kern County Firefighters joined other local agencies, dignitaries, and the public to support the Church Without Walls fight against fentanyl. The Church Without Walls was established in Oildale in 2006 and provides support to the local community through their ministry. Pastor David Holt invited the Kern County Fire Department to recognize the work our Firefighters and Dispatchers do in the community to help people that are affected by the fentanyl crisis. Kern County Firefighters often provide medical intervention to aide those affected by fentanyl. Pastor Holt also recognized the Public Safety Professionals Retreat and the work they do to provide support to public safety members that are affected by the critical incidents and crisis situations they often face. California State Senator Shannon Grove and Kern County Supervisor Jeff Flores were also on hand to recognize the Kern County Fire Department and the Public Safety Professionals Retreat. We are grateful to serve along side the Church Without Walls in helping people overcome the fentanyl crisis.
