BAKERSFIELD, Calif., Monday, firefighters from the Kern County Fire Department met with firefighters from partner agencies to focus their discussions on the peak wildlfire activity period we have now entered. This annual meeting is held to increase the safety and operational effectiveness of firefighters through proactive conversations related to personnel & staffing, communications, as well as current and projected fuels reduction projects.
Partner agencies in attendance included: Cal Fire, Bakersfield City Fire Department, USFS, Bureau of Land Management, Department of Fish and Wildlife, and Kern River Ranger District.
