Taft, CA., Saturday morning The Kern County Fire Department’s Truck 21, from Taft, had the fortunate opportunity to raise the flag for Heroes On The Water. Heroes On The Water takes wounded veterans and first responders fishing. KCFD’s Helicopter 408 was also present with a fly over before the event began. A little background on Helicopter 408, H408 flew in Vietnam as apart of the 117th “War Lords” Airborne Calvary. The Kern County Fire Department takes great pride in being able to show our support to all of our active duty and veteran personnel.
