KERN COUNTY, Calif., The Kern County Office of Emergency Services has coordinated two sites where sandbags are now available to the public for nuisance water from the higher level of the Kern River. Residents can take advantage of these sandbags to help protect their homes from potential water damage. It is important that residents take precautions to protect themselves and their property during times of increased water levels.
