Subject: KCFD Paramedic revived life

At approximately 4:15 in the afternoon of March 1st, Kern County Fire Department paramedic engine 25 received a call for a medical aid at the Shell gas station near highway 58 and Interstate-5. The initial complaint was for chest pain, but upon engine 25’s arrival, they found a patient in cardiac arrest in their RV. Due to immediate bystander CPR and EMS notification, engine 25’s crew was able to arrive quickly and provide immediate advanced life support interventions. The patient regained a pulse after almost 40 minutes of interventions and was transported to a local hospital via air ambulance.
