Ridgecrest, CA
At 11:29 a.m. the Kern County Fire Department Emergency Communication Center received several calls about a house fire. Skillful dispatchers overcame language barriers to quickly route fire crews to the 1300 block of Langley Avenue in Ridgecrest, CA. First arriving firefighters were met with a double wide mobile home, approximately 50% involved with fire. Fire crews made an aggressive attack on the fire to stop fire spread and conduct a primary survey for potential occupants inside. Firefighters were able to get a fast knock down on the fire while confirming that all occupants and pets had exited safely. One nearby passenger vehicle was destroyed by the fire. No other structures were damaged. There were no injuries to the residents or fire personnel.
