Lamont,  CA

At approximately 12:15 a.m. on June 17, 2018 the Kern County Fire Department received multiple calls for a house fire in the 11000 block of Santa Rosa Avenue, Lamont, CA . First arriving crews were faced with a fully involved single story house with an adjoining house starting to catch fire. A reinforced response was dispatched for additional personnel and equipment. Crews made an aggressive attack on the exposure and limited the damage to under $5,000. The house of origin was a total loss.

The fire spread to an adjoining power pole and caused extensive damage. The neighborhood east of Main Street and north of Di Giorgio Road in Lamont will be without power for approximately 24 hrs. PG&E is on scene working on repairing the damage.
