Delano, CA
At approximately 10:22 p.m. the Kern County Fire Department received a call for smoke coming from a residence at the 1700 block of 20th Street in Delano. Upon arrival crews found heavy smoke and fire coming from a bedroom near the middle of the house. Crews made an aggressive interior attack while other crews ventilated the roof to allow smoke and super-heated air to flow out of the building. The fire cause appears to be accidental and is under investigation. There was a $75,000 loss to the building with a $100,000 save.
